CPC Training for professional drivers
Driver CPC is a mandatory qualification for anyone driving a vehicle over 3.5 tonnes for a living, unless an exemption applies. While there are a small number of exemptions, professional HGV and LGV drivers, including C1, C1+E, C, and C+E categories, as well as PCV equivalents, must complete ongoing Driver CPC requirements. At Hamiltons Driver Training Ltd, we support individual drivers in keeping their Driver CPC training up to date, ensuring continued compliance, confidence, and readiness for professional driving roles.

Training tailored to your needs
We provide Driver CPC training in two routes, Initial and Periodic, depending on driver experience and qualification status.
-
Initial training is designed for new drivers who gained their licence after 1997 and includes MOD 2 case study support and MOD 4 practical demonstration tests, with training and assessments available at our depots.
-
Periodic training is classroom-based and suited to drivers with acquired rights or those holding a DQC, helping maintain professional driving standards and ongoing compliance.
Benefits of staying CPC qualified
We keep Driver CPC up to date to ensure legal compliance and access to professional driving opportunities. Regular training helps drivers meet current safety standards and industry expectations, while we support businesses in reducing risk and maintaining confidence. We deliver structured courses that make the process straightforward for individuals and organisations, promoting ongoing compliance and long-term career stability in transport roles. We also provide tailored group training, onsite delivery or local venue options, along with first aid training and trailer training.
