Your path to ADR certification starts here
We support individuals and companies aiming to become LGV or HGV dangerous goods drivers through accredited ADR Training. At Hamilton's Driver Training Ltd. in Ipswich and King’s Lynn, we deliver structured courses for transporting hazardous materials in road tankers, bulk loads, containers, and packaged goods. An ADR Vocational Training Certificate is required for most operations involving dangerous goods. We cover the core syllabus, packages and loose items in bulk, tanker operations, and all major classes except the radioactive one. Training also includes first aid and fire safety with full exam preparation.
Assessment process and industry readiness outcomes
We prepare learners for formal assessment through structured instruction aligned with national examination standards. Evaluation is completed through written, multiple-choice testing, leading to recognised certification for the professional transport of hazardous materials across the UK and Europe. We also integrate emergency response awareness, including fire handling techniques and basic medical response skills. At Hamiltons Driver Training Ltd, we focus on practical understanding, regulatory compliance and confidence building, supporting drivers in achieving capability for specialist transport roles and ongoing career development. We also provide PCV training and CPC training.

We deliver ADR Training that covers the full structure required for certification; qualification is divided into the following:
Core:
Basic syllabus for carrying any class of dangerous goods.
Packages & Loose in Bulk:
For carrying any class of dangerous goods in (drums, sacks, cylinders, cartons) and loose in bulk (dust carts, skips, tippers, etc.)
Class 1: Explosives (This class is a separate course)
Class 2: Gases; compressed, liquefied, dissolved under pressure or refrigerated
Class 3: Flammable liquids
Class 4: Flammable solids, substances liable to spontaneous combustion
Class 5: Oxidising substances and organic peroxides
Class 6: Toxic, harmful and infectious substances
Class 7: Radioactive (sorry, we do not offer this class)
Class 8: Corrosives – Acids and Alkalis
Class 9: Miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles, e.g. asbestos, PCBs and any substance or article not by the other classes
